From the President's Desk...
Welcome to the National Black Graduate Student Association (NBGSA) online connection to our current and perspective members. On behalf of the national board, we are delighted that you have decided to visit our website. Our membership elected a dynamic team of individuals who contribute a wealth of knowledge and talents that will undoubtedly propel NBGSA to the next plateau. Thank you for intrusting us with the only interdisciplinary graduate association in the country.
As we approach the 20th Annual National Black Graduate Student Association
Conference, our minds are fixed on the significance of reuniting
the past with the present to build a better future for our association. We
are honored to be charged with the important task of a milestone and
will demonstrate this through strategic planning, assessment, and evaluation
to benchmark the growth for many years to come.
We believe that the strength of this association lies with our membership. In the coming year, the leadership team will enhance our relationship with our members and chapters across the country. The NBGSA national board members will boost chapter connections through our chapter handbooks, regional conferences, newsletters, weekly digests, new chapter and member orientations, and much more. Most importantly, we look forward the culmination of the 2007-2008 year at the 20th Annual National Black Graduate Student Association Conference. I hope that you are ready for the growth that NBGSA is about to experience.
