“Honoring The Past, Defining The Future”

The 2012-2013 NBGSA Conference Committee is seeking proposals for papers, posters, panels, and workshops that focus on our conference theme: “Honoring The Past, Defining The Future.” We invite you to join us as we commit to the future, reflect on the past, encourage our communities, and boldly blaze new trails! While proposals related to this theme are especially welcome, proposals addressing any topic of interest to the diverse membership of the National Black Graduate Student Association will be considered.   READ MORE...

Anta-SaneWelcome to the 25th Annual National Black Graduate Student Conference website!  I am delighted to serve as NBGSA's president for the 2012-2013 academic year, which is an exceptional year for us as it commemorates a quarter of a century anniversary for the nation’s largest interdisciplinary Black graduate student organization. Twenty-five years ago, NBGSA was founded at the University of Michigan and we are going back to our roots, precisely in Dearborn, Michigan to celebrate the achievements and continuous successes of this organization as well as defining new horizons to strengthen the development of emerging Black scholars. Hence our theme this year carried that message through “Honoring the Past, Defining the Future.”
