Greetings!

Welcome to the Western Regional page of the National Black Graduate Student Association! It is with great honor and pleasure that we extend our best wishes to you as the 2011-2012 Western Regional Representatives of the National Black Graduate Student Association (NBGSA). At the national conference in Columbia, SC on March 9-13, 2011, we were elected as Western Regional Representatives of the national executive board for 2011-2012.

We look forward to working closely with you to increase our membership and conference attendance, especially for the regional conference. Together we will be preparing for the 2012 national conference to be held in Philadelphia-Valley Forge, PA on March 14-18, 2011, as well as hosting and organizing the regional conference.

We will ensure constant communication with all chapter presidents and encourage the creation of new chapters in the Western region where none exist. The Western region proudly represents graduate and professional scholars in the states of Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.

Remain assured of our full and faithful commitment in representing you, the region, and the National Black Graduate Student Association (NBGSA). We envision a dynamic year, one that will ensure great groundwork for building a tradition of excellence and sustaining the organization for the years to come. We look forward to working with you!
