Affiliate of the Year Competition
Each year at the National Black Graduate Student Conference the NBGSA selects an NBGSA affiliate of the year. This BGSA or BGSO should be a model of providing institutional student-initiated support for graduate students of African descent. Decisions are based on the quality, diversity, and innovative nature of the BGSA/BGSO’s academic and social programming and community service work. Becoming an NBGSA Affiliate of the Year can assist students in attaining additional institutional support for participating in NBGSA activities. To participate, the BGSA/BGSO must be a recognized student group in good-standing on their campus and a paid affiliate of NBGSA.
