Academic Representatives
Academic representatives enhance our organization by specifically promoting NBGSA within their academic disciplines. Each Academic Representative enhances membership development, encourages organizational commitment, and contributes to the prestige of our scholarly publications by working closely in collaboration with Alumni Representatives, Regional Representatives, and the Vice President of Administration. Each year, we fill 20 positions i.e. two Academic Representatives per academic division.
There are 10 NBGSA academic divisions:- Business: Accounting, Hospitality/Tourism, Marketing, MBA, and Organizational Behavior
- Education: Curriculum Design, Educational Administration, Educational Leadership, Higher Education, Literacy & Reading, and Teaching
- Engineering: Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering
- Fine Arts: Architecture, Film, Music, Painting, Photography, Sculpture, and Theatre
- Health & Medical: Dentistry; Dietetic, Occupational, Physical, Recreational, Respiratory, and Speech Therapy; Kinesiology; Medicine; Nursing; Public Health; and Veterinary Science
- Humanities: English, Foreign Languages, Literature, Philosophy, and Religion
- Law
- Science: Biological Science, Chemistry, Geoscience, Mathematical Sciences, and Physics
- Social Science: Anthropology, History, Political Science, Psychology, and Sociology
- Other
